Organizaton of Team Lindeke's Classroom

Our classroom is organized like a coffee shop or hotel lobby:
·         Student desks are clustered together to support collaboration, but allow for individual work

·         Tables are available for team members to work with others, or to get a break from individual work spaces

·         Comfortable chairs, pillows, and nooks around the room offer places to cozy up and get lost in a book

      ·         Technology is available for use in the  “Computer Corner”

    ·         Student belongings, including coats and backpacks, are stored in closets to allow for a clutter-free environment

·         A front message board that displays important information, including:
Weekly Schedule
Emergency Procedures
School Rules

·         A “Homework Board” that displays daily homework and other important student information

Paper Flow
You will submit homework and any parent communication to Mrs. Lindeke each morning to Mrs. Lindeke’s mailbox by 9:15.
At the end of each day materials to go home, including communication to parents and returned schoolwork, will be in your individual student mailbox for you to pick up before leaving school.
In-Class Teams
In the classroom, you will find student desks organized into 5 “teams”.
These teams work together to earn yards toward scoring touchdowns.

Yadda Yadda Voice Control System
Our class will follow the Yadda Yadda Noise Scale and we will practice the noise scale on a daily basis.
The noise scale is as follows:
0 – Silent
(Test taking, hallway)
1 -  Spy Talk
(Hallway, Centers)
2 – Low Flow
(Morning work, small group work)
3 – Formal Normal
 (Lunch, classroom discussions)
4 – Loud Crowd
(Assembly)
5 – Out of Control
 (ISAT Pep Rally)

Students who fail to follow the appropriate noise level will be asked to move their clip.
