Team Lindeke's Team Roles

Team Lindeke is a cooperative team with common goals and guidelines.  The different roles held by each member contribute to a classroom environment of respect and sensitivity while focused on high levels of academic performance.
Team Roles
The classroom belongs to everyone on the team and is both managed and maintained by all members of Team Lindeke.  The students will hold the roles on Team Lindeke, and responsibilities will alternate each week. Team roles include:
Teacher’s Assistant: Helps teacher by checking completion of morning work, checking student planners at the end of the day, and fulfilling and supplementing duties of open roles with the Job Substitute. 
Messengers:  Transports messages to other parts of the school, as needed. 
Line Leaders:  Leads and helps manage student behavior while in lines moving between classrooms and within the school. 
Mail Managers:  Distributes mail into student mailboxes and passes out papers, as needed.
Technology Manager:  Helps the teacher and students with technology needs and manages the “Computer Corner”. 
Out-of-office Assistant:  This student will fill out a, “While You Were Out” sheet, recording all homework and important information for the missing student.  This student is responsible for collecting handouts and placing all information in the missing student’s mailbox at the end of the day. 
Job-Substitute:  Helps fulfill and supplement the duties of any open team role. 
Board Manager:  Transcribes all homework and important information to remember and record in your daily planner, each day on the classroom “Homework Board”. 
Homework Checkers:  Checks-in student homework submitted to Mrs. Lindeke’s mailbox each day, manages use of free homework passes, and checks with students for any missing homework.    
Librarian:  Manages and maintains the classroom library, including supervision of the book check-out and check-in procedures, maintaining a tidy, inviting library, and fixing any books that need repair.

Classroom Library
·         The classroom library is a place for you. Reading is one of my favorite things to do, and I hope to instill the love and pleasure of reading in each of you.
·         A lot of time, energy, and money have been put into this classroom library.  Therefore, I ask that you respect our books and take lots of care and responsibility for the books that you check of our library out throughout the year.
·         Books that are recorded for check out by a student and fail to be returned will result in the student paying for the original price of the book.
Computer Corner
·         The computer corner is place for you to use technology. Technology is a big, important part of our lives.  We need to use it appropriately to learn, communicate with others, and sometimes just have fun.

·         A lot of time, energy, and money have been put into the computer corner.  Therefore, I ask that you respect our tools and resources.

·         Students may only use technology when directed to or approved by Mrs. Lindeke.

·         Students must observe all computer rules.  If a student chooses not to observe the rules, he or she will be asked to move his or her clip.
